Monday, April 7, 2008 The former managing director of the Gambian newspaper, The Daily Observer, Dr. Saja Taal, testified today in Banjul Magistrates’ Court as part of the trial of Mam Sait Ceesay, who was formerly the State House Press Officer in Gambia. Taal said in court that he knew Mam Sait Ceesay. “I used to work at the Daily Observer as Managing Director up to November 2007. I know the accused,” he said.
