    New Jersey to consider bikini waxing ban

    Friday, March 20, 2009 New Jersey is considering a state-wide ban on Brazilian waxes, the removal of hair from the bikini area. Although genital waxing has never really been allowed in the state, the New Jersey Board of Cosmetology and Hairstyling plans to propose a ban with more specific legal wording, in response to two women who reported being injured during a wax. The board will consider the proposal at their next meeting on April 14. If the measure passes, New Jersey may become the only US state to ban the practice outright.     Four British energy suppliers face investigation into claims of misselling

    Sunday, September 5, 2010 The Office of Gas and Electricity Markets (Ofgem), the regulator of the electricity and gas markets in Great Britain, has launched an investigation into four of the largest British energy suppliers over suspicions that they not be complying with face-to-face and telephone sales regulations. The four organisations facing scrutiny could be fined up to 10% of their annual turnover if it is found that they are breaking sales regulations. Scottish Power, npower, Scottish and Southern Energy and EDF Energy are all to face questioning by the organisation.     Saturday, November 26, 2005 Canadian community art group Visual Arts Brampton is looking for entries for its international entry mail art exhibit “Control”. The exhibit’s entry information discusses the theme of the show: “Are you a control-freak, or more happy-go-lucky? What do you think of corporations’ control on the media and governments? Is your life quickly spinning out of control?     Fiat Chrysler recalls 7,810 Jeep SUVs for software vulnerability

    Sunday, September 6, 2015 7,810 Jeep SUVs are to be recalled in order to address a software vulnerability in the vehicles’ entertainment systems which allows the vehicles to be “hacked” — allows vehicle software security to be compromised — Fiat Chrysler Automobiles US (FCA US) said on Friday. This recall affects some 2015 model Jeep Renegades. FCA US said exploiting the vulnerability would take “unique and extensive technical knowledge, prolonged physical access to a subject vehicle and extended periods of time to write code.” They said there are no known instances where the software vulnerability has caused injury to anyone.     Sue Gardner appointed as Wikimedia Foundation Executive Director

    Thursday, November 29, 2007 This article mentions the Wikimedia Foundation, one of its projects, or people related to it. Wikinews is a project of the Wikimedia Foundation. According to a resolution that was added by Wikimedia Board Chair Florence Devouard on the Foundation’s website, Sue Gardner has been confirmed as the new Executive Director for the Foundation. The resolution was approved by 4 of the 7 members of the Board including Jimmy Wales, and Devouard.
