    Sony refreshes VAIO brand for business and entertainment

    Thursday, July 31, 2008 From the middle of July, Sony Corporation refreshed their senior laptop brand VAIO from “Video Audio Integrated Operation” to “Visual Audio Intelligent Organizer”. According to Sony Taiwan Limited, this refreshment is an attempt to relocate the laptop consuming market for business and entertainment factors.     Explosions near British consulate in New York shatter windows

    Thursday, May 5, 2005 Videotape from security cameras appeared to show a cyclist lighting metal canisters that were filled with gun powder, and throwing them toward the building before fleeing the scene, police sources said. The make-shift explosives blew up in a concrete flower box, shattering glass but causing no injuries. Two explosions were heard before 4am EST this morning, outside the 21-story building housing the British consulate in midtown Manhattan (map).     Canadian government settles lawsuit over children ‘scooped’ out of indigenous communities

    Saturday, October 7, 2017 The Canadian federal government of Justin Trudeau yesterday responded to a group of lawsuits by agreeing to pay C$750 million to the survivors of the “Sixties Scoop” program, in which 20,000 First Nations children were removed from their parents’ households and placed with non-indigenous foster or adoptive parents. The plaintiffs claimed that this caused them mental and emotional problems, in addition to the loss of their ancestral culture.
